i have a new 9-page comic in The Believer's 2019 Music Issue, exploring my love of Cher's ABBA covers album, and the resurgence of ABBA's music in moments of political and cultural turmoil. big thanks to my editor Kristen for being supportive of the idea! the mag is making its way into bookstores and the comic will make its way online at some point soon!
was thrilled to create another poster for the New Nails party series! this edition's proceeds are going to the Friends For Life Bike Rally in support of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.

two recent podcast interviews have gone up this week, one with OK Fox and Lucia Love of Art & Labor during my recent visit to New York City, where we chatted about TCAF, the Queers & Comics Conference, the #FreeBritney movement, and gentrification in our respective cities. you can check that out here!
the other interview was from a couple months with Inkstuds, where we talked about my artistic influences, coming of age in Toronto, the Hungry Bottom Comics series, and some of my recent projects. you can check that out here.
thanks to these peeps for having me on their shows! and don’t you get too used to the sound of my voice, it’s kind of a fluke that these both came out this week! hah
Our Wretched Town Hall has picked up a nomination in the LGBT Graphic Novel category for the upcoming Lambda Literary Awards! congrats to all the finalists!
the ceremony will be held on Monday, June 3rd, hosted by the legendary Justin Vivian Bond. <3
“Nothing constrains Eric Kostiuk Williams. His cartooning is never less than near-infinitely adapatable, fluid, mercurial — maybe literally, as his forms, figures, even structures seem liquid at room temperature, ever in a state of joyous flux, refusing to define themselves and embracing the joyous possibilities of being whatever their whims allow them to be.
“Dull” is not a word in Eric Kostiuk Williams’ vocabulary, and that’s not just true on a surface level, its rejection on a conceptual level is at the very core of his overall artistic project.”
thanks to Ryan C from Four Color Apocalypse for his review of the new book!
